The Basement night club is THE live venue for music lovers in Sydney Australia.

Set up in the early 1970s, it has become an institution among performers and punters. And the club has played host to some amazing gigs by people such as Roy Ayers, Muddy Waters, Prince, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, The Neville Brothers, Rufus, Jon Cleary and Andrew Roachford. And The list goes on.

Now The Basement has a Full-HD Broadcast Unit that is starting to capture some of those great live shows.

Using the best crew possible including six broadcast quality high definition cameras, a state-of-the-art video facility and a great audio production rig, Live at the Basement has started recording show-case performances for local and international HD television. Current productions include amazing performances by Jon Cleary And The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Cindy Blackman, The Bad Plus and Richard Maegraith, with more to follow - all in Full-HD.
